Very bad lag in menus & in game.

I'm not sure but i think some people were having problems with this when 1.02 was released now i've updated to 1.03 Im getting a 100 - 300 in every server i go in, Even my usual servers..

Singleplayer works and it's nothing to do with my connection or graphics card has anyone got a idea what's wrong?

TRY.....................Lower your pings by unloading the cache files.. (worked for me, after, i installed the patch).
Before uninstalling cache files 6 times normal ping, i got normal pings again after deleting cache files


Start > My Documents > Battlefield 2 file > mods file > bf2 > cache > any files that look like {D7B7E2-080C-11F-C7-3AC2CB} ( or something like that ) open it/them and delete all that is inside.


You can also delete files that retain the servers logos sigs and info kept on your pc
Start > My Documents > Battlefield 2 file > LogoCache > delete any and all files in LogoCache.

Still lagging at 110 ping for some reason, I'm gonna try updating punkbuster i've deleted both Logo & Cache files aswell.

yea same problem here.
after installing the patch i get ping between 200-800
i usually get 100 and under...

Corm is teh suck and i have the same problem. My ping isn't the only problem, i only get about 15 fps now, i got over 70 before the patch. It's odd becuz the same thing happened for it when 1.01 and 1.02 came out but clearing the cache like i did then no longer cures the problem.

yea when i pubbed i had extremely high ping, but when i scrimmed in our match server had my normal ping...weird

i get same problem. Ping is usually around 25, but is very often flying upto 800. Tbh i dred new patches coming out for this game now

Will one or more of you try this plz.
Find where one of your 1.03 patches is stored and save it in a folder where you can find it again easily say on desktop. "OR" re-download the patch and save it to say desktop.

Follow the instructions in this link http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18709 for a uninstall of the game and Punkbuster and Patches.
Then follow the instructions for reinstall "but don't install any patches"
After you have done the above go to the file where you have the 1.03 patch saved. Or follow the instructions how to install 1.03 patch here http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33897
Open the file and double click on the icon and it should patch to the game fine.
Try the game.
Post back here with results plz

I'm getting incredible lag after fresh install and patch. And I mean totaly unplayable network lag, not video lag. Its running at like 100 fps, but everytime I try to turn around, its so laggy that I get yanked back to where I was a second ago, or facing the wrong direction, etc... over and over... totaly impossible to play. Happens on every server, and other games are fine for me...
