I cant really find too many bugs they fixed other than vehicle damage. I can however say for certain there sure as hell isnt over 100 fixes. I count less than 80 at the very most!. c4 - still buggy , rpg through vehicles -still buggy , player names red sometimes - still buggy , server list yes finally favorites added" but still inaccurate, rpg splash damage doesnt exist , m230 "noob toob" splash damage doesnt exist
Take a second to reasonably think about why we get all the lowered rank requirements and unlocked kits?.... To get us bored enough with the current bf2 to upgrade to spec forces next month, Imo not much was actually fixed. ok yes we now have 6 characters that can be used before our ingame name. and a new map. whoop de doo What they should do for the next patch is patch the game. Not release a new map and some shiny trinkets like a couple new turret sounds and vehicle engine noises. fix c4 not detonating when pressed, "instead releases another pack of c4" , fix rpg splash damage , fix m203 splash damage , fix rpg going straight through vehicles , fix the red names over the teammates.. Then imo i call it a patch.

I havent seen it cause of another bug : Cd_keynotvalid and some other blanc screens, so gogogo with that hotfix, fire some pple, hire some other 'brains' and deal with all the above. stop working on another probably buggy game, and let us play this for a while

Marketingtime of ea means 6-8 months *see other add-ons all imaginaly, surprisonly on time and schedule)
but dont let us patch / hotfix all the time for the next 6 months..for more bugs -like i have now-

at this moment i deinstalled BF2 downloaded the patch again, this time from fileplanet.
And I am on a clean installation trying to install for the past 7 minutes the 1.03 patch, gogo hotfix, wake ur employees i wanna play u f*/**

This is ridiculous. Tell me if i start to sound a little noobish here, but i've owned this game from day one and i only have about 2500 points. Thats just one unlock for all you who can't remember back that far.

I love this game, and i think stats are a pretty cool feature. but realistically, i am never going to get 10k points. the new ranking system gives casual players a reason to play ranked, and it still gives all you "hardcore" players high end ranks to play with.

Whats that you say? noobs like me now get access to your precious unlocks? Seriously, step back and look at what you're saying. If you want to work for hours to get to use a little piece of code no one else can, i reccomend an mmorpg, where thats the point. I was under the impression that in this game, your skills are what should count.

And remember, stats don't really accrue based on skill. Its all a matter of how much time you dedicate to this game. You 100k point whores ain't leet, you've just got a lot of free time.

EA said to ign themselves that the requirements are high BUT they have been reached before in Bf1942 so they are not unrealistic and they are attainable. That was before this patch , before next months release of SF think abotu it ... and also dont take what i said personal I didnt call u a noob calm down Also how on earth can u say stats dont accrue based on skill?? its based on how much time u play???.. Man u can sit on a ranked server that wont boot u for 5 days strait and not get 1 single point for your time..... Kill 1 enemy soldier and u have more points than if u sat there and spent all day on that server. what are u thinking?

OMG ! F-**** OMG .

I found the problem ! ! ! ! ! EA U PAY ME BIGTIME u *****
if u guys have the problem installing the patch cause of errors, invalid cd keys and stuff, do this :

-reinstall BF2
-delete everything
-install BF2
-reboot
-install 1.03 patch (not first the 1.02)

now this is where it will fail as usual. while the small frame with the patching on it is busy, go to ur taskmanager then processes and u will notice that there are two battlefield 2 1.03 patch.exe, one of 15K and one of 2K.
close the 2K proces (not close processtructure!!) and u will see the patch will end and this time SUCCESFULLY . BF2 here we come again

I've only played a few games since the patch but I might as well post my opinions so far -

New engine sound for buggy is rubbish.

"Hitzone" for some spawn points when clicking with mouse is tiny you have to click about like a muppet to hit it.

Whatever they have done to the graphics to improve performance has caused me to have more glitches / missing textures than before.

That stupid and pointless pop up when logging in.

Haven't noticed anything that is a game ruiner but just annoying stuff really.

Most of the supposed improvements are pretty meh!

Flag names - ok but pointless

Icon for commander supplies ok

Turret sounds - pointless

Names for passengers - fixed an annoyance

No TKs for commanders - Thanks a lot now the twat that costs me a capture gets away with it

Having to get out of a vehicle to capture - OK, but is it only the driver that gets the full capture points if so that sucks??


Where are the real fixes like wrong colour name tags seems to me this patch has introduced more actual bugs than it has fixed. Most of the "fixes" in this patch are pointless.
