The supply icon- v.useful and about time.

In vehicle names of passengers, but why only the driver gets to see whos in - should be everyone able to see who thyre driving with.

Saving fav servers - ggreat, get ridof dross and looking through llist.

Commanders not being punished for arty strikes tks

physics on vehicles reduces tk risk and no tk punish for your vehicle being blown up.

Dislikes: the APC gun noise (but like the Chinese APC noise!) and the sound of the jeeps engines! How cr*p are they?!!!!

1 point for destryongi commander assets - how not worth it!!!!

Sure I'll find more wrong like not fixing bunny hopping, the building bug wehre enemies can see your legs sticking through a wall and kill you(!) and the name colour bug - irritates the hell out of me.

i got that too ! i can launch the game, see the differences, login ok, then i see a blanc black screen with open or close (to go to a site) some strange stuff when i try to join any server it says :

LOCERRORcd_keyinvalid ? ? ? ?

i also see the wake maps in red...

its not the first time i had it ... when 1.02 came out i had to copy the objects_client.zip from a friend. appeantly there were too "versions" of it. it said patched failed, but the next frame was : patch succesfully installed ? but it didnt until i copied that map that was some KB larger.

strange stuff.. wheres the patch for that? or should i just stop playing

I cant believe they did nothing to actually improve the functionality of the server browser. Oh sure, the favorite server thing is spiffy (especially adding them ingame) but the browser is STILL slow to update, STILL laggy, and STILL doesnt report accurate information (thought i do appreciate that it now updates when you click on a server). Worst of all, it doesnt let you browse and update servers at the same time, LIKE EVERY OTHER BROWSER ON THE PLANET!!! This remains my biggest problem with the game. There have been times i've felt like playing a few rounds, and then i think "oh...but i have to deal with the menu, then the browser, then the load times...". how hard can a server browser really be? its not like there arent scores of infinitely better ones that came before it. heres hoping they get it next time...(yeah, right)

Other than that this patch seems to do a lot for the game. I'm getting better framerates, i like the new hud stuff and the new sounds, and ill appreciate being able to actually get a few ranks now (when they decide to update, of course)

but it was so much fun shooting a full load down now its not the same they make the stinger better and now isnt no good against BH whores but so far i love the patch dont dislike much about it

Was playing Mastuur...was defending our main base (MEC) and I see the blackhawk come...and 2 of the 4 guys who jumped out died because they didn't open their parachute!!! LOL


Second was a Blackhawk squad that just capped a flag and the Blackhawk pilot leaves WITHOUT them!!! LOL

I have encountered 3 occasions so far where my friendly's name is Red, and the Enemy's is Blue, so from where I'm sitting they didn't fix that. I only noticed it on Wake 2007. The funny thing is I was on Vent with a friend and he saw the same Friendly's name in Green(squad member)?????????? Seems like this may be something on my end????????? Anyone else notice this, or have any ideas how to fix? Other than that pretty happy with everything else.

- Player names when in vehicles.
- Clan / squad tag.
- New info messages ("Bridge has been destroyed").
- New sounds (the Chinese buggy sounds sweet).
- 'Tougher' teammates.
- 3D Map icons for supply crates.
- Smoother runnings. My framerate has really improved.
- Getting points for blowing up commander assets. Finally. Now you don't just go for fun anymore. And people notice, coz I have seen quite a lot of snipers around commander assets tonight.

Dislikes:
- I jumped 4 ranks (corporal to master sergeant), so I got 4 unlocks. That's a bit too much.
- Wake Island. Don't get me wrong: I like the map. But I have literally been there before. I'd rather DICE had made a new map (preferably urban).

I really dislike how its so easy to get promoted, it took all the fun out of it. It should've been lower, but not that low I just hope the new awards aren't that easy to get either, other then that, its great. Hopefully stats will start being shown earlier

I like the ranks in patch now i got 3 new unlocks which makes me happy. They have fixed alot of small bugs and the stat padding some what. I like the new map. I love getting points for blowing up commanders assets All the new Features like the BFHQ and sounds the verfying client data doesnt take as long now

Dislikes: Commanders artty doesnt count as kills anymore thats a dumb thing

I cant really find too many bugs they fixed other than vehicle damage. I can however say for certain there sure as hell isnt over 100 fixes. I count less than 80 at the very most!. c4 - still buggy , rpg through vehicles -still buggy , player names red sometimes - still buggy , server list yes finally favorites added" but still inaccurate, rpg splash damage doesnt exist , m230 "noob toob" splash damage doesnt exist
Take a second to reasonably think about why we get all the lowered rank requirements and unlocked kits?.... To get us bored enough with the current bf2 to upgrade to spec forces next month, Imo not much was actually fixed. ok yes we now have 6 characters that can be used before our ingame name. and a new map. whoop de doo What they should do for the next patch is patch the game. Not release a new map and some shiny trinkets like a couple new turret sounds and vehicle engine noises. fix c4 not detonating when pressed, "instead releases another pack of c4" , fix rpg splash damage , fix m203 splash damage , fix rpg going straight through vehicles , fix the red names over the teammates fix legs being seen through walls and objects.. Then imo i call it a patch.

Passengers can't help flag capping!...Yay, no more BH whores!
Wake Island...it's a pretty nice map...better than most of the other Chinese maps.
Names of flags...pretty nice little addition.
Supply drop icon...the most useful thing in the patch. :)
Vehicle names...second most useful.
Name prefix...Yay, I can be "Sexy Elxx" now...heheh.
No arty TK's...I suppose this is nice.
Dislikes:
ASE DOESN'T F***ING WORK ANYMORE! It's the most idiotic thing I've ever seen in a patch.
Useless EA message thing that just makes it take longer to start the game.
Idiotic rank requirements. There's just no motivation to move up now that I've got 4 unlocks and the same rank as most of the n00bs. They made it WAY TOO EASY. Besides, it's getting annoying when you're in a match and 40 people are being promoted in every single round because BFHQ takes hours to save their promotion.
Commanders don't get points for arty kills.
None of the real bugs were fixed...as others have said, C4 is still buggy, friends still show up with red names, legs stick out of buildings, the list goes on...

All in all, except for Wake, this was just a pack of features that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN BF2 AT RELEASE. Why it took them 4 months to add this junk...I don't know. It's a step in the right direction, but it's a damn small and lazy step. Remove Wake from the patch, and I think it's maybe a 3-day effort by EA. Not good.

This is ridiculous. Tell me if i start to sound a little noobish here, but i've owned this game from day one and i only have about 2500 points. Thats just one unlock for all you who can't remember back that far.

I love this game, and i think stats are a pretty cool feature. but realistically, i am never going to get 10k points. the new ranking system gives casual players a reason to play ranked, and it still gives all you "hardcore" players high end ranks to play with.

Whats that you say? noobs like me now get access to your precious unlocks? Seriously, step back and look at what you're saying. If you want to work for hours to get to use a little piece of code no one else can, i reccomend an mmorpg, where thats the point. I was under the impression that in this game, your skills are what should count.

And remember, stats don't really accrue based on skill. Its all a matter of how much time you dedicate to this game. You 100k point whores ain't leet, you've just got a lot of free time.

Dislikes: - New Ranking Stat. At least it took some effort before to get good guns now every noob is gonna carry one. All my efforts in getting to 10,500 Corporal rank are screwed because I could have gotten it free. How many new guns will I get now??? This is f*cked. EA are f*cked.
