this is part of the new patch i believe. i guess they just haven't updated that link. but from what i heard, they'll use that message prompt to update players w/ the latest new/important info.

Seriously though this kinda sucks as BF2 AutoLoader can't connect now and the in-game browser pings aren't playable.

Clicking close is only aggravating the first twenty or so times you have to do it, after that it’s a major annoyance. Plus it seems to be the culprit of not letting external browsers to join in a game or using desktop shortcuts to join a game.

You know that Dice/EA are trying really hard to be like Steam where they pop up messages when you login, they fail at it though, you have to leave Battlefield to read their dumb messages! We really don’t need to be spammed about EA releasing other games and stuff like that, even things pertaining to Battlefield like the Special Forces add-on. Don’t pop that stuff up every time I log into the game.
