Enemy in my helicopter...

Just happened on Wake Island 2007. I saw what looked like a friendly running to grab the Chinese helicopter, but I got to it first, I was pilot, he was gunner, his name was red, the dot was red, I quickly checked TAB and he was on the USMC, so he was actually an enemy.

Unedited, unphotoshopped, the real thing.



For some reason he hopped out as I started to take off, so I fired some missiles at him and killed him and sure enough I got a proper kill for it, as if he really was the enemy, even though he was wearing a Chinese uniform.

they still haven't fixed the red name tag bug!!!....they have known about it for months now. Guess most of the other bugs me and others have posted in this forum haven't been fixed either then.....why do we bother....

Probably one of the most frustrating bugs of all time, and it's still not fixed.

I've known about the red nametag bug, but how do you explain the fact that when I killed him it was an actual kill, not a teamkill, and that when I checked the scoreboard he was on the other team?

really it was a teamkill and you lost points for it. if you would have watched the game back on battlefield recorder he would have shown as blue and on your team. In the game other people would have saw it as a TK.

Sadly this is not a new bug, just the same old red name tag bug, on a new map.

I wish there would be some feedback from them as to what issues they are still working on, such as this one.

I didn't know showing a red dot in a vehicle position was even possible. Perhaps it's not a bug. Perhaps now enemies can get in vehicles. That would make road kills a lot harder unless you had a full vehicle.

No you cannot get in an enemy vehicle! so do not worry the road kills will still work! My guess is that he was a teammate and then he got a tk for that one. sounds very tragic to me! I feel sorry for you and the victim.

I had this same thing last night. Except my flatmate was in my jeep with me. It was showing him as red and it was also showing him as on the oposite team to me when I pressed tab. BUT he was definatly on my team. Actually I had this over and over with multiple players on that fking wake island map. Not to mention getting team killed left right and center because I was also bugged.
