So, how's the stability (1.03)?

I know not everyone has crash problems, and for some people the various tricks that have been posted have worked, but not me (and others, I know).

My most usual crash is a black screen + lockup... the video goes, I have sound for about another second or two (usually stuttering), then complete lockup. Forced to hard reset.

Every once in a while (so very rarely) I'll get lucky and just crash to desktop.

Not complaining, but I'm curious if 1.03 is working better for any of the folks that were in a similar situation. I'll at least crash once if playing for a couple hours... once while piloting a full BH (doh).

Edit: I'm not overheating, it was done on a clean install of a brand new system with flashed bios, updated chipset and video card drivers, etc etc etc :) 3000+XP/2GB RAM/MSI K8N SLI/BFG6800GT/watercooled and aircooled/etc etc etc

Hrmmm was able to play for 3-4hrs and haven't crashed. Will have to see after a few more sessions if this keeps up.

Yeah, I crash with the same frequency as I did with 1.02, so apparently we are a special breed since this wasn't addressed by at least ONE of the 140+ bug fixes.

Didn't edit on the last one because I was posting to the topic with my own findings... but it was more a solo conversation, heh.

edit (heh): besides, isn't this better than all the soapbox threads? Even if just marginally so? I never complain about the stability, just hope to fix it :P

Glad (sorry) to hear that I'm not the only one left with huge stability issues in 1.02. Makes me think the 3-3.5 hrs last night wasn't long enough to judge for sure. We'll see as the days go by

on 1.02 i had ocasional desktop crashes, but not always. on 1.03 have only played afew houres and the only "lag ive seen" is when i take a SS and its like 3 sec lag.

Yeah, I've been thrown to the desktop numerous times when maps are changed. This never happened to me with 1.02 and below.

It crashed to desktop on me the first time I loaded a map in multiplayer after installing 1.03. Since then, I haven't crashed...so everything is good.

Have the exact same problems as you for every game I play =/ This patch might have seen an increase for CTD but Ill need more game time before I can truely claim that.

Just crashed, complete black screen and nothing moves. Screw this patch, WTF are you doing EA? You even got 2 extra months to work on it!
