Game Crashes Please Help!

ok so i just installed the new 1.03 patch and restarted the compter. Then i turned on bf2 to play and before the videos and the login screen comes up, the game goes black for a second then just goes to my desktop. please help. thanks

Same here. and this is after plenty of uninstalls and reinstalls, with and without the 1.02 patch inbetween.

omg, i have no idea if this is related to this install of the patch but now i cant uninstall any of the ea games which is bf2 demo, bf2, and bf 1942. now ea is gettin on my nerves...

WOW i waited soo long for this patch and EA screwed it up once again. Just installed the patch and now when i open bf2 it shows a black screen and just goes back to destop!

Damn it! I was really looking forward to a nice evening playing BF2. But i´ve got the same problem here.
Three installations didn´t bring any result.
EA must be kidding in a very bad way.

I wish i had the money to fly to sweeden and just beat the everliving crap out of anyone at EA. I could just punch out the poor receptionist right now. They cant manage to get a freakin installer right, much less the content. Im on my 4th install, and have tried EVERYTHING to get this fu**er installed. Pathetic, truly pathetic. EA could screw up a blow job.
