why does the game throw me directly in to server?

When i start the game it directly loads me in to a server to play...i dont want this...i must have made this as an option somewhere but i dont know where...
can someone tell me?

i dont use that button actually...is that as an option as well? i mean can you choose somewhere in OPTIONS to be directly thrown in to a server when starting game? i cant remember right now...

Reason why i ask you is because it always takes hellofalongtime from the moment i press "connect account" 'till the game finds the server.

Dammit i still have the problem...i tried to find somewhere in options to turn it off but no....For some reason its like "PLAY NOW" is directly active from the moment i connect the account...WEIRD

Its the shortcut.
When you install BF2 it gives you 2 desktop shortcuts.
One of them is an automatic "Play Now".
Use the other shortcut.
