I don't know why so many people complain about the G3.

I love it. Who cares if its got 10 less bullets and no nade launcher. Its accurate when fired semi auto or in short bursts, and it kills so easily. 4 shots to take down even the most heavily armored guy on the battlefield. Wow, no nube tube. Hand grenades work better anyway.

The G3 is absolutely wonderful. I only have 2 problems with it. Not enough ammo total (smaller clips aint so bad, but they should have compensated with an extra spare or something), and it's unrealistically* and unneccesarily accurate at longer ranges.

*Not trying to imply that BF2 is realistic.

I unlocked all but the Jackhammer. I don't see the need to replace a shotgun with another shotgun.

And those complaining that the M95 is a poor choice may not have figured out the elevation because it rocks, especially if the target has even the slightest amount of damage - Pow! They're waiting in spawn que. :nod:

the m95 actually takes down small vehicles. One time I did it in 4 shots, weird.

The M95 is my first (and only thusfar) unlock. It's impressive. I once took out a Blackhawk pilot with a single shot through the windshied from a great distance (over one km, maybe?). Haven't been able to repeat that feat since.

It's lousy for close-up combat, though. Maybe I just don't know how to aim without the telescopic site.

definitately unlocking the PKM; if it's even a tiny bit better I might go back to playing support.

I gihly reccomand the PKM it was my second unlock and after my disappointment with the G3 (my first) i was really happy with it, its better than the SAW in every way its a lot more powerful and a lot more accurate. Also it overheats after the same amount of bullets but becaue it fires at a slower rate you can fire for longer.

As for me i already have the G3 and PKM and have around 14000 point so i guess i get 2 or maybe 3 unlocks in which case im probably going too get the G36c and the L85 :)

And that someone would be you. The PKM IS deadly at close range, and it DOES take out unarmored vehicles. Attack helo pilots are always confused when I shoot their asses out of the the sky as a footsoldier.

I took out a MEC van with an MP5 last night. Admittedly it was already on fire, guess I did just enough to push it over the edge!

I got three unlocks with the patch and chose the DAO-12 because I like playing AT and the Chinese and US SMGs are pretty hopeless, though I like the MEC one. Chose the M95 because I like playing sniper and you get better range with it. Having said that, I think the M24 may be slightly more accurate, though I'm still learning how much elevation I should use. Final choice was the PKM as I tend to play support when I'm in a squad. Can't say I'm overly impressed with it so far but that's probably because I've been playing with my new sniper and big bangy AT toys.

I allready had the L85A1 and the DAO-12, and unlocked the Jackhammer, PKM and G3.

I absolutely am in love with the Jackhammer, I'd marry it instantly if it was legal :laugh:

The PKM rocks if you can get in a good spot, and I love the sound of it!

The G3.. just looks wrong to me, I still have to experiment with medium-long range shots at single fire setting though.

The DAO made me really enjoy being AT for the first time, and the L85A1 can be great fun when 'sniping' supports unloading on you full-auto, while being hit with every shot and not hitting me

only 2 unlocks to go.. I think I'll take the M-95 next, cause I think the laser-sighted gun is at least as good as the G36C, or maybe that is because I'm just so used to it (and am so impressed by the precision targeting!)

I enjoy my 2 new unlocks :) PKM and M95. I had jackhammer as my first unlock and wasn't dissapointed with that either.

Just unlocked the M95, and I love it! Usualy my kill:death ratio is terrible, but this gun is starting to improve it. Heard alot of bad press about it, but it works for me.

I really, really wished that they had changed the unlock system so I could use an unlock to get a different classes weapon. I went from Lance to Gunnery and got 4 unlocks - but I only ever play the AT class. So now I have a bunch of unlocked weapons I'll never use. But man, how much would I have loved using one of those umlocks to get the G3 as an AT soldier.

OMG.. the Jackhammer is not 'a' shotty, the Jackhammer is 'THE' shotty!

I used to love the Saiga, but since discouvering the power of the Jackhammer.. the US shotty is lethal, but little more then an annoyance compared to this mighty lead-spitter!

I unlocked PKM, L85A1, G36C, and M95 after the patch. I still have 1 unlock option left...gonna leave it for a bit and see if unlocks can unlock anything with the expansion!

(I had saved up one unlock from when I hit Corporal a while back and I hit 20,000 points last night giving me First Sergeant and 5 unlocks total to pick last night! Good times! )
