Problem after installing 1.03

After I choose my login name, and enter the main menu, I get a window saying Message From EA, but it's all black. At the bottom: Open or Close. If I open, bf2 shuts down and im taken to a an error page:

if i choose close, i can browse for servers, but when i try to join, i get a message saying my cd-key is invalid. thoughts?

This seems to be a common issue that's arising. Try checking a couple of the "Invalid CD-Key" posts as there seems to be atleast one workaround.

Way to go EA.
All I can say is thank god were not paying monthly for this shiet.
Otherwise BF2 would be collecting the same dust in my closet as WoW.

other than the new map and the empty popup that takes me to a dead website i do not see any differences from the prior release. don't these bozos test anything. how can they put up an empty popup then tell me that their are messages from them and wich i click the button to take me to their website it takes me to an empty website.?
