I wouldn't call that an Easter Egg. That'd be like calling clothes hanging from a line an Easter Egg. An Easter Egg is something that is out of place in the program which it's hidden.

Try looking inside the houses. I think there might be something there, possibly.
Or in one of the old bunkers.

The bunkers are homage to 1942 also.

well in my mind, its not an easter egg. Its not out of place. Nor paying homage.
Its more of a.... Wake Island Revisted, thing.
You see, in 1942, there was / were a big war there. You know, US. hehehe.
So, of course, if you "revisted" an island such as that, your bound to see a few crashed planes, here and there.
A very nice touch, by the mappers, i must say.

Um... what would you expect to find on an old battlefield...? Pink unicorns?

I think crashed and rusted zeroes would be called scenery. Infact they should have put in some broken down tanks too. (Infact, they should have modeled Wake Island at a realistic scale, not the 1 game foot = 25 real feet scale it is now...)

Now, if you shoot or blow up one, and pink unicorns come out, that would be an easter egg.

hehe that would be cool. Just one, that spawns, like once per side, at the airfield.
Keep it with a rusted old skin. Have it smoking very badly. And even a sick, sounding motor...........yet it still flies.

Yes, that would have been a very nice.....touch.

Course all the campers, camping for it, would kinda.........make me ill.
