YES!

- Adjusted wheeled vehicle engines on hills to improve climbing.

I hope there is more to the list of fixes than what they have told us. Nowhere is it mentioned that they fixed the red tag friendlies/blue tag enemies.

I noticed that the Rank System is for CS Kiddies now, i went up 2 Ranks for throwing 1 (!) damn Hand Nade!!!!

Tanks and APC's still have Engine Power like a 40 year old VW Bug crawling a rock, i thought that the M1A2 had 1500HP and about 3900Nm?

The M95 shoots like a M24 on LSD, less accurate and just scratching the Surface of Jeeps.

F*** idiots still do Bunnyjumps, i hate this ***holes.

WTF are the 160 Changes???? Does it take 6 or 8 Months this time for EA to come up with a Patch 1.04?

The torrent is definitely the way to go. Took about 10-15 minutes for mine. I still have it running for all you peeps just getting home, uploading at around 100K for the good of the community :)

Agreed, got the torrent from 3d gamers in no time at all. Just goes to show there is a legit purpose for bt :)

So now they take the medals and ranking system from one extreme to another????

Now every n00b on the block has a sgt rank, and they also have the ribbbons us veterans worked hard for!

I dont like what its turning out to be. It is good over all, but they need to add much more awards, and a whole line of officer ranks ie liut, col, gen. ect...

O ya, I guess they enjouyed watching ppl get ****ed off at bunny hoppers and nose diving dolphins..... W/E, this patch is good, but they need to rethink some more of the game.

I MEAN IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE A CHILD WAS RANDOMLY GUESSING AT WHAT THE SCORES SHOULD BE FOR EACH RANK (8,000 FOR SSGT, I MEAN AT LEAST MAKE IT 20 GRAND!)..... IT IS REALLY ******** IF THEY DONT ADD A WHOLE NEW ****ING ARSINOL OF AWARDS AND RANKS!!!! Now, Im done.

I did think that the amount of points you had to get for the higher ranks was pretty high, but now they have gone from one extreme to the other. Instead of just lowering the amount of points needed to get promoted by a decent/realistic amount, they have reduced so much that it doesn't take long at all to get promoted and everyone is about the same rank now. The ranking system is now really useless IMO.

It isn't - I was red to my teammates just last night. I jumped in the helo and the pilot flipped out because I was showing as a red dot in the front seat.

This happens when you install BF2 into a directory other than the default. I know of no fix to this.

Go to start menu, then click run. Type regedit.
After that find this below:


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2

On the right hand side there should be a key called InstallDir, if not right click and create it, set it to string. Double click on it and enter the location of your bf2 directory (I.E: c:\program files\ea games\battlefield 2

The ranking system has been changed so by the time the expansion has come out most people will be done or almost done this game. More people will buy the expansion and EA makes more money. That's my guess anyway.
