Because you still can't. You can add a 6 character prefix for clan tags.

The simple answer is no. In the client forum there are still people only finding this forum who have yet to install the first patch. When people realise that you can't change your nick in the leaderboard it'll result in 1,000 complaint posts here.

For somebody campaigning against 'useless posts', you sure love making new threads when there's already a thread running on this very same topic which you have already replied in.

They should make a "Teamkill complaints" sticky thread. Oh, but then there'd be no unsticky posts!

Re: Why is nickchange still a sticky?
Changing the name is a good thing and yet also a bad thing
For the people who suck at this game it is good for them because they can change their name, so people cant make fun of them anymore for killing them so much.
The bad thing is everybody might change thier name and it is like a brand new game(Like being the first time playing the game)because you wont know who's who.
For example if exp electric played and everybody knows him he might change name to ultraman or some crap like that, and nobody will even no thats him, they will be thinking thaty he is just another BF2 player

I'd like to see where you all are getting this name-change thing from. The only thing I see with the 1.03 patch is the ability of adding a changeable 6-character tag to the beginning of your name.
