I doubt anyone here remembers this, but about a week ago in a poll, I choose October 4th as the release date.

It's kind of odd that they're thinking of releasing it on a Tuesday, though, given that all the others have been on Wednesday and Friday. Oh well... Time to clean up the registry, defrag the drives, run a virus scan, run a spyware scan, and update the graphics drivers.

There are already a ton of servers with the new patch loaded and ready to go.

Wake Island Goodness. Wahoo. We'll get sick of that map fairly quick, im sure.
But the cool thing about wake is, should they keep it close to the originial, that is...

Less friggen spawn points.
Map provides oddly enough, a good mixture of Urban type play (yes even though its not urban, the action for foot grunts, is intense), and vehical use.
I was thinking though, that the bombers are gonna have a field day on this map, and ruin some pretty good gaming, although, if EA is true to their words, the AA will now keep them at bay, allowing only either the most stupidest of pilots, or the most skilled, access to bombing the island. :)
Even though i dont AA much.... when i do, i find it to be about the lamest thing in the game.
The thing can lock on an enemy, you fire, and it still does a 180 to a friendly, thats not even on your screen. Resulting, in a most undeserving, punish.
oh well, im rambling....waiting for patch as most of you are

The only reason i can find for this, is that, perhaps they are getting it out early week, so they can have time to fix...what it is, we will more then likely find, wrong with it, perhaps before the weekend?
You know darn well, the community is gonna find that one, very annoyiing, that one, "what the hell, didnt they test this patch!!!!" problem...
