Have you ever been banned for absolutely no reason?

I was on a server tonight playing as a MEC. After that round was over the server autoswitched teams. I am on the USMC team. I get in a BH as a medic or engineer, can't remember exactly. We take off and the next thing I know I get kicked for "excessive teamkilling." I couldn't believe it. Honestly, this came out of nowhere. I tried to rejoin thinking it was a mistake but I get a BANNED from server message.

Is there some known bug in either BF2 or the server software that does this? I went to the forums of the server I was on but so far my attempts to register have failed because they won't send me the activation email that is required for forum use.

I'm still in shock. I'm not a trouble maker, and I didn't kill anyone, friend or foe, so being unfairly banned, then not being able to ask why, really troubles me.

Was a passenger in a Blackhawk flown by a dolt who just wanted to get to a MEC base to snipe them. He dumped the chopper on the slope of a steep hill with the other 5 people still inside. I jumped into the pilot seat to save it and the passengers, but as I managed to get it into the air it had already slid down the hill killing 2 people who had tried to bail. I got the teamkills and then kicked/banned within seconds, all because of some selfish retard who thinks that he and his M95 on the ground will kill more people and take more flags than a Blachkhawk filled with men.

banned many times for no reason, the only reason is an admin who can't stand his loss.

killed the admin 4 times got banned, killed friend of admin to many times, got banned, admin was commander, he constantly said attack this position but I was on foot and there was a tank there, so I said no, got banned, ...........

some admins are real loosers

yes, tonight actually. me and my chick both got banned for no reason. at the same time :P

Mostly for tk's (accidental), cuz' I think I met the server limit, but was able to join after the required time amount. Whether it was a day or a few mintues... So a temp ban, nothing permanent though.

Most of time its Tking BUT THEN theres those clan admins that think they are gods and cant allow you to kick there ass on there home server.. every time we (our guys play on servers together) and get kicked for doing good scoring and teamwork we just boycott there servers.. IE *removed - DP* list goes on

I was kicked from server: *Removed* - DP as soon as I Entered into the game.
I went back in, and was booted again...
I went in a 3rd time and was banned...
The site was all stat whores!!!

I just can't figure out if it was some sort of glitch or not. I had only been on that server once before that I recall. Never argued with anyone, and like I said, had already played one round as MEC. As soon as I was teamswitched by the server to the USMC I was kicked. WHen I tried to reenter I was told I was banned for excessive teamkilling. Odd, I hadn't fired one shot. Then there's the frustration of trying to register for their website. 4 hours later and I still haven't gotten my activation email.

It’s happened to me a few times even before I’ve spawned (you have been kicked for excessive TK’s)

I just avoid most clan servers now!

Lets see...I was on and someone ran in front of my APC and was run over. No way I could have stopped. All I typed was thanks for the punish and I was banned. Oh well, and by the way, I never punish unless it was an intentional TK or severe stupidity and I urge everyone to take the oath. " I will not punish....I will not punish....I will not punish."

The other day on our clan's server, whenever we kicked someone to make room for a clan member, the server would say ban instead of kick - even though we were not banning them - so maybe there is some sort of bug.

"R4nd0m_P|4y3r banned to make room for an Admin."

It gave us a laugh.

Perhaps, but don't do it on here. The bottom line on all of this is that these admins pay for their servers and as such they are entitled to run it however they want. If you do not agree with a server admin's ruling, then you're more than welcome to find another server to play on - there's literally thousands out there.

Once I got banned for statpadding. Statpadding, I mean, I've blown up the BH several times (with c4 chopper) in a row on mastuur. One player (who was in the BH) said I am statpadding my C4 kills. So I got banned. Never thought killing opponents is statpadding whatever measure you use. Admins have right to choose whom they let play on their server, thats sure. But banning someone who kicks your ass is just.... lame.
BTW, slowly I will have more c4 kills then anything else. Shame on me, I was statpadding....

I got a reply from their webmaster saying he didn't know why I was banned but that the bans on their server are only for 5 hours.

I still think it was a bug. I can't wait for this new patch to come out. Please hurry EA.
