I think MP7's are great Personal defense weapons, "The proliferation of high-quality body armor has begun to make guns that fire pistol ammunition (such as HK's earlier MP5 or USP) ineffective. In response to this trend, HK designed the MP7 (along with the brand new UCP, which uses the same ammunition) to penetrate body armor, but small enough to be used in place of either a pistol or a submachine gun."

With the DOA-12 the AT class beats anthing, with wheels, legs or tracks. (and sometimes even skids) point is it reloads to long, but you can stop reloading by switching weapons and switch back, though it looks like it is reloading (which it is) you can still shoot. AS for the MP7 it IS and STAYS an smg so the range wont be great i'd rather suggest something like an P90, MTAR 21, TAR 21 or FAMAS G2.
I dont think the MP5 is that bad, you just have to pick your battles, at close range, your chances are good at pretty much everything besides the n00b tube.

Why on earth would anyone need a machine gun for self defence...Thank god there are still some civilised countries where not every fecker walking around is tooled up to the eyeballs.

LMAO - This is still intended as a military weapon, not as something that private citizens would carry around. "Personal defense" just means that it is intended as a back-up weapon for soldiers who usually do something other than infantry vs infantry combat (pilots, drivers, artillerymen, etc). The point is to enable them to effectively defend themselves if the **** hits the fan.
