Promoted to Sergeant: suggestions on next unlock?

Hey all,
I've been promoted to Sergeant. I rose from Private to Lance Corporal by doing nothing but being a sniper using M24 every match I played; as skills increased going from 9-15 kills a match to 20-40. So naturally my first unlock was M95 Barrett. I love being in squads but snipers are hard to be of direct help to them. So when I joined a squad I was assault most of the time. once I reached Corporal (mix of using sniper-assault-special ops) I unlocked the G36c and started playing as special ops every single time I was in a squad or squad leader. 75% of my effort from Corporal to Sergeant was using the G36c as Special Ops. Also Blackhawk(medic) pilot, Attack Chopper(special ops), Tank(engineer) and Fighter pilot(Special Ops) made up for the rest of the points. whether on foot or in a tank, long distance shots are what I do best; that whole predicting where the bullet will land. I can take down attack choppers with the tank pretty easy, even when it's twisting and turning in the air(I once shot and killed a Cobra when it was doing a cartwheel).

I say all this so that you are able to get an understanding of what I like to do, and maybe what gun would best suit me.
I almost never use Anti-tank, but am interested in the unlock.
I can kill a lot of people with the G36c but close up the lack of stopping power shows through. So I'm not interested in the Medic's unlock.

So I ask your help. Should I unlock the G3? or one of the new automatic Shotgun unlocks?
If you've unlocked them yourself please share your thoughts and experiences using them.

Your next unlock should be the search feature on the board. There are an uncountable number of threads on this. Bottomline, you have to decide for yourself what to unlock next.

Please us the search button next time, but im in a good mood so...
i unlocked both the G3 and DOA-12 and i think the DOA-12 in combination with th rocket launcher is a bit better then the G3, but as a weapon alone i'd pick the G3. 1 note though you'll have to learn how to use the G3, a lot of people dont know ho to and whine about. so make you choise

My suggestion would be choose whichever, chances are you'll be promoted again (maybe even twice) as soon as the patch is out.

Ask yourself:

1) What kit do you play a lot of?
2) Is that gun unlock?
3) If 'no', unlock it.

I almost never use Anti-tank, but am interested in the unlock.

Same as me, I never used the AT class either, mostly because of the terrible SMG they're carrying around. But once you get the DAO unlocked, the whole class has a new meaning!

With the DAO you can take out packs of enemies at close range, and you can even kill someone at close-to-medium range (even though it normally takes up to all 12 shells)! In addition you've got the AT rockets, which can not only counter tanks, helicopters, APCs and whatnot - but also snipers and other infantrymen in the distance.
By selecting the DAO you make a good choice, as you can now counter EVERY threat in the game - at any range :)

Before I unlocked the DAO, I always played Medic. After the unlock, I always play AT - unless my squad needs a medic or another class.

My friend unlocked the DAO-12 because he plays a lot of AT. He thinks it is a great upgrade to the SMGs. In 1vs1, he wins a lot of the time. In 1vs2, with bunny hopping, he wins most of the time. I guess you get the picture. It's a great CQC weapon. Use the pistol for everything else.

Why would you want the G3? Fewer mags and no noobcannon. Next...

The Jackhammer is a rare weapon found on the battlefield. I've heard of its power in CQC 1vs1. But after that, use the pistol.

which ever class you play the most you should unlock or your 2nd favorite class or 3rd etc etc

So far ive unlocked the G3 and the PKM. I'd say i use them both pretty evenly, depending more on the map rather then the gun itself.
The G3 works wonderfully for medium, and in some cases long range, and holds its own at close range. If youve unlocked, or dont want to unlock the G36C, L85A1, or M95, and want a bit of range coupled with a powerfull weapon, id say this is your best choice. The biggest drawback is the 20 rounds vs the 30 in the default guns. The noobtube i try to consider a different gun all together, compare it to the grenades, and then apply it to the class.
in short (and my opinion);
the G3 outguns and is more accurate then the default weapons of the chineese, US, and MEC
the grenade launcher is more effective then the grenades

my next unlock will be the DAO-12 (unless something happens that forces my mind to change), so having limited play with it, i cant comment much more then the obvious. Which is its a close range weapon, and devistating within those ranges.

(anyone who claimes you dont need to be good at aiming to use the PKM has no idea how to use the gun)
