Karkand

I was looking at the top players on UBAR. Almost all of them spend the majority of their time playing Strike at Karkand. I haven't played it yet so I don't know anything about it. Is it a stat padders map? I only ask because I see guys with over 100,000 pts and they play mostly on Karkand so that's the conclusion I come to.

Strike is the best map in the game. It can get crazy on with 32+ people. So much infantry action. Constant fighting. It's really the only infantry map in the game which is kind of sad.

But what I hate about it is the people who just play it to ride in a tank and kill infantry. That's point farming imo.

i absalutly hate karkland but for some odd reason i can easally score 100+ on that map cleaning 2nd place by 30 pnts easy. but i love the other maps eavin if i only get 10 pnts or so

ZOMG HOW COULD YOU HAVE ONLY PLAYED KARKAND LIKE FOR 9 MINUTES?! OMG ITS LIKE THE MAP EVERYONE HAS PLAYED FOR AT LEAST... A LOT OF TIME!

Good job checking out the other maps Strike at Karkand is an infantry map with no chopers or anything. The map is constant action and every one loved it. No, its not the stat pader map its just pure fun :)

Yeah, it is the funnest map that is alot of infantry firefights in constant effect unlike other maps like Dailan Plant and Kubra Damn that take a long time to get a decent score.

Vehicles means something on this map too. You own the vehicles and you can give the other team a hard time too, like any map. BUT in this map there's actually swarms of people running around and actually running into each other, hitting the dirt, arty incoming, firefights going on, tanks rolloing over mines next to you and blowing up. It's cinematic dude. Have a firefight at the bridge with opposing teams on each side just one time and you are hookered, Karkand 24/7 !

karkand is dope for infantry which means medics can get a lot of heal/revive points.
it has a nice layout. most of the flags are all in a row...easy flag captures.

Last night I got killed by a medic with his paddles out... aaaarrggh the shame! LOL ! Yes I was out of ammo, it was in the small square alley in front of the lowest MEC base.

Karkand is the only map that doesn't have the incredibly broken air power on it.

Watch and see, if they make another map with none of that broken air power, it'll be popular too.

Alternatively, they could just FIX the air units to be more in line with everything else.

This map was on a earler topic about planes. One reason why it is a popular map is because there are no air whatsoever. Its a damn city so you get alot of cover and tight areas for intence firefights. tanks and jeeps can be really easy to kill if you have the right people. And most of all, you can have a bloody good time there!

Hey where do you live in Karkand? I've just moved in 2 months ago from Los Angeles and have been there evere since and to be honest with you it's not much more violent place.
We have a little infidel infestation in here, but nothing that AK-101 will not fix.

I completely disagree with you on this. Vehicles play important role on this map and at the same time they can be eliminated easily by AT/Spec Ops. However, if used correctly they can help the team win the round.

I use tanks / APC on this map not to point farm, but to help my team capture flags and win the game. At the same time I need to be on constant alert because I often end up being blown by C4 / hit by AT rockets.
