    Geforce FX cards

I have an FX 5200 8x 128mb at the moment(in a 4x slot) with an omega driver, plays bf2 on low flawlessly

i Just got a nice new desktop with 2 p4 3ghz processors, some uncertified 512mb RAM(operates at 2100htz if im right, vury fast, may get more) 80gb hardrive, fairly nice

but that card, that fx 5200, it pains me, and i was wondering, what about the higherups, the fx 5700, or 5700 LE, (both 256mb) how do they look

or the 5500 256mb, eitherway, are the fx 5 series(over the 5200) worth the 80$ pricetag?

    thanks for the help

also, do any of these higher ups support dynamic lighting? or the new HDR in day of defeat Source?

i had a 5700 LE 256, it ran BF2 ok on all low settings, except there wasnt a lot of detail, like the H on the helo pad was all blurry and couldnt read some signs. if you could afford it, u should get the 6600GT 128 or 256.

$130 is not a bad price, considering i paid $135 for my fx5700 2 years ago.

faster RAM will help overall, see if your MOBO supports PC3200 or higher.

like i saids, mega fast RAM, its not "official" "certified" RAM, but it works hella good, right now i have a Riva TNT 16mb videocard though, thats my main priority lol

im thinkin on the 6600gt, but if i wait 2 months, im wonderin how far the price will go down eh?

cheap 5500/5700, but bigpappa made me see some light

so ill prolly be lookin onto the low series 6 cards for stuff that supports dynamic lighting and such

              thanks for help so far

              whats difference between a 6600 128, and a 6600GT 128?

first...dont get anything form the fx family...theyre not really good for bf2 and theres not much difference...buuuut u should get a 6600 for the extra 50 bucks nad and its a great deal for hte perforamcne it gives

im lookin at radeon 9700, more pixel pipelines (i guess thats good, unless to pipelines lead to ultimate pixel death or something)
