    Can anyone play BF2 on its best resolution...

    And have no lag problems? I'm thinking of turning up the resolution on my BF2, but it seems it might be causing lag. Note my PC is one of the best out there at the moment, but when I tried playing with the really high resolution, it seemed to lag.

    I don't see what the point is, especially if you can run 4xAA at a respectable resolution like 1024x768 or 1280x960 and up.

    I run 4xAA on all High at 1152x864 and the game is absolutely beautiful.

      im guessing since you have a laptop then you have an LCD monitor and you shouldnt have any other resolution then your native LCD monitor resolution. I just bought a 20inch dell 2001fp and i have to play bf2 with 1600x1200 on medium to low settings or the game will look like total **** because of the scaling.

        Okay, I guess I phrased that poorly:

        Can anyone run the game okay on a resolution above 1024x768 without a lag problem?

                1280x960 and it runs perfect. This highly depends on your hardware though. I have a 7800GT, 512MB RAM PC2700 (yes I know), A64 3500+. Overall quality setting at high at the top on the video settings page and 4X AA 8X AF. But because of my ram it jerks at the start of a game or when I connect to a server.

                    1280x960@75Hz 4xAA, everything on high except dynamic shadow (medium)
                    The only jerkyness I have sometimes is because of server lag. Other than that it looks great.

                        Running almost identical setup to Mutrino (3.4 vs 3.2) but at 1600x1200 on my 20 inch SyncMaster and it looks great - no noticeable performance hit. You should definitely look at tweaking notes available everywhere on what the different options in video do for you vs. performance hit. For some, you get little in viewing quality vs performance.

                          1600x1200 with all low settings works for me (low-end video chip).

                            I wont run it over 1024x760

                            60hz = burn the eyes.

                            85hz is the way to go for me.

                            My monitor sucks :)

                              Thats only if your not using a progressive imaging technique which all LCD's use. With progressive anything more than 60 is almost worthless.
