Well most of those days are odd and the law of probability would dictate that a Monday has equal chance of showing up as any other day of the week...so I believe you're right....it is today.

This is really starting to **** me off, so I'm just going to make a post with a collective of reasons why I think the patch will NOT be released today.

First of all, there is absolutely NO factual information to suggest that it will be out today. This rumor started because someone claimed to have a leaked copy of a message sent to all ranked servers, which said the patch would be out today. Not only was the poster not able to prove the validity of the message, but ranked hosts have actually DISPROVEN it. Basically, you're all following some random rumor with no facts behind it...

Second, many of you are claiming that releasing it today would follow the pattern of release dates for patches in the past. This is so wrong it isn't even funny. Here are recent BF patch dates:
BF42 - 1.2 - 11/27/02 - Wednesday
BF42 - 1.31 - 3/7/03 - Friday
BF42 - 1.4 - 6/11/03 - Wednesday
BF42 - 1.45 - 9/05/03 - Friday
BF42 - 1.5 - 10/30/03 - Thursday
BF42 - 1.6 - 1/30/04 - Friday
BF42 - 1.6 - 12/1/04 - Wednesday
BFV - 1.01 - 5/21/04 - Friday
BFV - 1.02 - 6/9/04 - Wednesday
BFV - 1.1 - 7/28/04 - Wednesday
BFV - 1.2 - 10/7/04 - Thursday
BFV - 1.21 - 12/1/04 - Wednesday
BF2 - 1.01 - 7/6 - Wednesday
BF2 - 1.02 - 7/15 - Friday
Notice how MOST of them came out on Wednesday, followed by Friday, with a Thursday in there too? Not a single patch was ever released before Wednesday.

Third, take a look at the following post made by 'EAUK_Protagonist' on October 2nd (yesterday) from the EAUK forums:

Don't patches for most games come out around mid-week? It's just easier that way. I know, at least in my office, that Mondays are generally reserved for people to come in and go, "What were we doing last week? Oh right, a patch, maybe we should get on that or something..."

I don't mind, it just means I get a few more days of whoring resupplies for my squadmates. :p

Martin, from what we know as facts, we really do not have a set date for the patch. IT is expected to be released sometime in October, but getting any more specific than that will result in us probably being wrong. They said on friday (Sep 30) that it's a few days from release, but we can only wait and see.

one of my clanmates works for EA in LA, and while he's not exactly on top of things, he told me last night that it'd be out this Wednesday.

Im sorry but this really does not matter, I mean does it really matter if the patch comes out in a few days (btw a few where im from normally means 2) it's not like battlefield 2 is unplayablenow, this is really starting to irritate me now.
