port number help

hi,
ive had to restore my netgear dg834g router and when i log on to bf2 i cant find a list of servers. this might be due to a port number but im not sure. also abit off topic but does anybody know the port numbers for msn messenger 7.0

For BF2:

UDP ports:
27900
29900
29910
27901
55123
55124
55215
16567
1500-4999

TCP ports:
80
29900
29901
29920
28910
4711

GameSpy Account port is supposed to be:
TCP port 27900

...but the game will query the whole range of 27900-30000 in order to login.

Its called DMZ, it opens all ports and doesn't scan any packet flow. Usually a last resort. Make sure your firewall allows BF2 to play though and also check Windows Firewall to make sure it is off. If that doesn't work then set it to DMZ.
