Map Pack Trouble

Hey ya'll, I just recently downloaded the map pack that has I believe, King of the Hill, Wake Island, and some other ones (I think those are some of them) well when I see a server that's playing one of the maps it's red (kinda like the servers that aren't the same version) but I have the 1.2 patch and bla bla bla and when I try to play the maps on single player it will load the map, then the game (BF2 its self) shuts down and brings me to the computer main screen Can anyone tell me why my maps won't work?

The maps won't work on single player, only multiplayer.

I have similar probs.
The maps work single player but can't connect to them on-line!!!

Some people have mentioned in the mapping forum that turning their gfx settings down to medium allowed them to connect to custom maps.

Well I don't know what GFX settings are but ok ok, the reason I tryed single player was, I look on the server list, when I see a server with one of the maps, the server is red (as in the color, kinda like servers that you see when you turn the "same version only" filter off) and when a server is red I can't get on it. So I already tryed muilty player, and it doesn't work. Why why why????
