The UK has British Summer Time (BST) during the summer. The clocks are put forward one hour on 27 March and put back one hour on 30 October.
GMT always stays the same but because the UK uses BST in the summer the current time is ONE HOUR AHEAD of GMT.

Z, Zulu time Zone, is mostly known in the millitary and it's a standard time that does not change. Mostly used to coordinate operations and for informational use within the millitary.
UK = GMT during Winter, BST during Summer
BST, British Summer Time, is the time that Britain moves during sumer due to DST. BST = GMT + 1
DST, Daylight Time Savings, is what many countries use, to be able to coordinate the working hours of the people in its country to the time of daylight.
The main reason why Iceland doesn't use DST like most others in GMT is becaus the daylight is allready fecked out due to its northern position. Daylight 24/7 for one and a half a month during summer, something that DST simply doesn't fix.
