Ever had a great squad ?

Ok tonight's gotta be one of the best nights for me. I was on the 8Ballers Karkand server and I got a squad worked so damm well as a team you won't even believe it. That's a great server and guess what ? I took the commander spot and people were actually listening to the orders. Imagine that ! What an awesome night of BF2 TOTALLY awesome ! Thanks to all the guys I played with tonight.

Yeah well just wanted to make a post about it because it's so rare that you actually get a squad that's working as a team other than if you are squad leader in a blackhawk.

And... I forgot to add we WON like so many rounds consecutively I can't even remember how many we won.

good stuff. i must say it is rear 2 find a good squad. i have come accross afew were we work well 2 geather and chat over voip. we definetly kicked some booty when we were doing that. like our convoy of 3 hummers and us just unloading.. great fun

It happens sometimes, when it does.. well, its how BF2 should be all the time.

Yah, good squads are so hard to come by. As everyone else stated, when you do find a good squad, especially one that does have the benefit of VoIP, the possibilities are endless (think about a train of a leading Tank, APC in mid, and Anti-AA in teh back) ;P WE were the top leading 6 in the whole round once. (i play on Divo.Net)

In this game we had a couple of times APC and 2 tanks all moving together... ownage. Anyway most of the games we were on foot, excellent midecs, suppprt, sf, and a DAMM GOOD engineer, who'd repair anything, demine anything (and occasionally as anit-tank when defending the bridge. Totally awesome. Everyone was on VOIP. I wish I could have taped those games some of the firefights were so amazing.

And yeah! THAT's the way it should be played.

i consider myself a good squad leader....always give directions, stay back to give good spawn point, I use VOIP etc

so if any of you can get a decent ping to an iconz server (New Zealand) then look for Bastard squad and join up

When you are in a good squad that actually uses their brain to avoid the main roadblock on Karkand and has medics, support guys with them to hold a rear flag from dozens of MEC is brilliant :)

Especially if you take the pressure off the front line enough to take some of the important flags.

and shooting down Splinter Romp and Cpt Killjoy (bastard pilots)

It is the best time you will hav playing BF2 when you are in a great squad. Sadly it really is not often enough

Agreed. Even outside of clan wars, just being in a clan with people you know and playing on the clan server means you can frequently get a great squad game in. And then when you do have a clan vs clan match...wow. I mean, I've only played one (6vs6) and even that was amazing! So much more fun!
