well how high could i run BF2 if i get 1or2 gigs of ram with what i have now
vid card-NVIDIA GeForce 6200-256mb
sound card-SB Live! Wave Device
Processor Speed-3059.2

right now my System Memory is only 511 so i run it on low with some lag at the start of a map. i play 64 servers with no lag hardly i just want to know if my settings could be higher if i get more memory with my hardware i have now

It should load quicker, and you'll probably lose the studdering in the beginning of the game. As far as video settings, probably not much of an ability to increase there as your video card is low end. No offense, just and observation.

ok j/w i really want it to load faster graphics dont bother me snice i know my card is crappy so should i go with 2 gigs?

Unless today's patch has HUGE optimizations (no mention of any yet) then I will still recommend 2 GB to anybody who is willing to upgrade.

Depends. What type of ram does your computer use? PC2700 or pc3200 or other. If you don't know post your computers make and model numbers and I'll check it out for you.

Setting...You can run higher settings on video. the key ones to keep on
low are dynamic lighting, dynamic shadows, terrain, and geometry.
texture filter can be on medium or high (I'd go with medium).textures,
effects,and lighting need to be no higher than medium. I have a vanilla
6600 mated to AMD Athlon XP2600+(333/1917) with 768 MB DDR400 (dual
channel...see ECS N2U-400-A motherboard specs), a $12 sound card,
Maxtor9 60 Gig@7200rpm w/8MB cach and i run Medium across the board
except for textures (low) dynamic shadows (low) ad texture filtering
(high) at 800 X 600 2xAA. 1024X768 uses too much RAM...I suffer from
20-30 seconds long periods of lag. You could be able to run at higher
screen rez with 1 Gig DDR.
