did you reassign any key bindings? What about are you sure that the vehicle has more than one slot? Outside of that try a reinstall of BF2.

Are you in F Mode ?
On the same row as the F keys on the far right you should have "F Mode", try that.

just go to the options and look if your keys are changed.. one day I started bf2 and none of my keys worked.. they had all been set to none. well just have a check

Alot of logitec keyboards have the "ow so great" software installed wich makes you have green letters bouncing on your screen when u press the F buttons, if it's a Logitec , uninstall the software and try again...
