I'm in university and they have a network set up. Websites load up fine and downloading files is fine too but some programs cannot connect. Apparently some ports are blocked in an attempt to stop peer to peer sharing. Someone helped me get Bit torrent going by putting in some info and using port 8080. Is there a way for me to login, even just to play singleplayer Bf2? Any replies would be useful, thanks.

GameSpy Account port is supposed to be:
TCP port 27900
...but the game will query the whole range of 27900-30000 in order to login. -

So how do i login if only some ports are allowed, 80 and 8080 for instance. Can i force Bf2 to login using these ports ? I dont know much about it allComment

You need to telephone the sys admin for the school and request that they open or forward those ports.Comment
