Lame grief tactic? Real tactic? Or an exploit?

I was on a server yesterday playing Mastuur.

The SW base was owned by our team but the other team placed a vehicle at each of our spawn locations, except the one behind the silo.

By placing a vehicle on a spawn point you get the "RED" spawn button instead of the grey button to allow you to spawn.

So they placed a vehicle at each of the spawn points and preceeded to spawn cap the only spawn-in-point we had.

Did I mention it was our last base and they didn't cap it?

Lame grief tactic or real tactic?

They did it again at our main base, so the only spawn we had was inside the building at the NW flag. They just stood behind us and knifed us as we spawned in.

Is this against EA/DICE gameplay rules? Is this an exploit?

No, they just were smart. Besides u think one of u gus would have the common sense to go prone or jump or smthin right as you spawn...or even better, drop a nade

No it isn't againsed their rules. Their rules only apply to drastic changes in game play, not strategy (lame ones included.)

Its a perfectly legit tactic, though you need a smart team to pull it off. You've just been the victim of a bad case of attempted spawn raping, nothing more.

It limits the number of players able to spawn which is a legit tactic, and more often then not its a nice way to spawn rape.

this game has so many flaws its hard to know where to start..

how about having 69 points, commanding, winning, and then getting
switched to the other team by auto balance 60 seconds before the end
of the game.. ????? happened to me more than once..

EA/DICE have the brains of a horse turd.

Problem is we didn't know so like many people do they take a second or two to orient themselves, change weapons, or change firing modes.

The problem is once you die and try to respawn, the spawn point is RED or flashes grey really quickly (I have Auto Ready set to OFF btw).

bad luck I would say... although this tactic was pure genius.

doesnt the sheer mentality of some people in this game put you off?

EA/dice 2001 spawn points! They hopefully will be tweaking it in 1.1, you can create a mod with a whole bunch of spwan points but they love the idea of only having three per base!

The employees at EA/Dice love spawn raping, i guess!

I say it's borderline exploiting than genius. As long as you have the flag, regardless of if someone is there, you should be able to spawn at it no matter what. When the flag grays, THAT'S when you should lose the ability to spawn there, not if a vehicle is blocking your ability to spawn. Sounds like something a patch needs to fix to me, as this often occurs when teammates are idiots and won't move off the place they spawn when your team only has one flag. Annoying as heck, another thing in the game that wasn't really thought out I say.
