Right now I have 1GB (2x512MB) of ram. I have 2 mor slots so would it be better to get a 1GB stick or 2x512MB sticks? The 2 512MB sticks are $9.00 less. Thanks in advance.

If you are operating in Dual Channel memory mode, two would be best. If you are running in Single Channel mode, it won't matter. -

In order to remian in Dual mode, you will have to use double (2) modules. Poping in just one extra to make for 3 modules would throw it out of ballance and revert the system to Single mode.Comment
