thought the largest sized memeory modules were 1gb and motherboards ive seen only have 4 slots so thats 4gigs?

Hi again Death Merchant, hope you can help me, just recieved my A8V-E-SE from scan, the box and all documentation say A8V-E-SE but on the board itslef by the PCIE slot it says just A8V-E,there is a sticker on the IO slots stating A8V-E-SE, can you confirm if yours is the same, many thanks.

HI,scan shipped the board to me, I have been doinfg some research as to why it has A8V-E, from what i can gather it's just the same board, with dual core support and a passive heatsink and some bits we can't see ie the updates, mine also has a small white sticker below the A8V-E and I am certain the is deluxe hiding, I have spoken to scan technical department and they have logged the call, so I will wait and see what's what when I get it fired up, not going to remove the sticker as yet in case it invalidates warranty plus it's well stuck on, anyway how is yours running ?

gunny is right. Dual channel RAM would be your best bet for performance. 2x1gb smart.
