    Ragdoll Physics

THE RAGDOLL PGYSICS IN THIS GAME SUCK!!! People always die in the same position, limbs flying everywhere even after they are dead... After CS:S and DOD:S (Which are taking over bf2) it amazes how much the bf2 engine falls short. The graphics are better, the game runs smoother, and its just a better game.

Who really cares about how bodies fly or look when killed? You want real? Go enlist in the military & go over & see first hand what they look like. Good Grief. Some people just have to knit-pick stuff to death. Worse then a damn bleeding B**ch on the rag!

      Yeah I'm not too bothered.

It is changeable though - mods can change the weight etc. of limbs to stop them flying everywhere. Don't know if any mods will....it really isn't very important.
Its not a top priority for most mods.

I liked the ragdoll physics from Max Payne 2, those were always a blast to play around with.

I think they look good as well. The reason BF2 can't have better graphics than CS:S and that is because the maps are a lot bigger. They look pretty damn good anyway. Not that I can have them on high.

So far one game i know of has the best ragdoll, and thats ghostrecon. I have had times when i hit a guy in the neck and he crabs the wound and falls to his knees. Or you shoot him in the head and it flys back with body still going forward. Other events like getting shot in rib and he spins that direction. Now the game was before true ragdoll where the body just goes limp, whitch is lame because you dont die that fast most the time.

The ragdolls in CSS slow my computer down. The ones in BF2 don't nearly as much. While I like looking at the CSS ragdolls, I certainly like playing with the BF2 ragdolls a lot more.

Havoc engine in this game, which has 64 players on maps 10x larger than CSS DOD:S maps = not many people being able to play it online. I just can't wait for the Ageia physics processor :massive grin:

Why bother playing the game then FFS all about realism

Gunslinger145, you forum-hero! Explain to me what the objective of this thread was, because all I can see is 100% trolling. You either like the game, or don't - there is no need to try and start petty rivalries between games on the forums. Start making a decent contribution or I'll have no qualms about removing you (you know, so you've got more time to play HL2 Mods)

Have any of you guys played Freedom Fighters? I love the rag doll evvects in there, picture this. Your on the top of a building you creep up an a guy at the edge of the roof, you cap him in the left knee, he falls to the left smacks his head on the roof, rolls forward about 60 cm (2 feet) then falls off the roof, half way down he hits a pipe sticking out of the wall, his arm clips it and this sends him into a spin untill he colides with the concrete paement below where he just lays motionless his body slumped up against the wall where it landed.

                          Now thats rag doll effects.

                          Happy gaming,
                          Blak Phoenix.
