Great idea for a mod that could also be used for normal play

[The Question]

Well after watching Tears of the sun for the last few days over and over studying every little bit.

I thought that EA should add a silent M4 add on. I mean come on in the Official Guide it says with stealth something with the pistol. Its a darn pistol...

So lets try to make this into a mod... We need it!!! Oh and up the power of the M4 to be a slight stronger or equal to the M16.

The M4 is a pea shooter compared to the M16. The Army now offers soldiers their pick, but most still choose the M16. The advanatge is that the M4 is lighter and a bit smaller (resulting in it being easier to aim) then the M16 is, however it comes at a cost of power. I believe the M4 damage ratings are pretty accurate as is.

spec ops already has what is arguably the most accurate gun in the game. you want to make it more powerful and silenced?

Silenced weapons would suck.

I completely HATE the silenced pistols. I am pretty sure everyone else agrees with me. If they have to be there at least make it so you press '2' and you take the silencer off.

so use your c4, your extra stamina or your nades. or dont be spec ops.

you might have more luck on the official EA games BF2 forums but i still think ppl will have something against usmc spec ops being given a super gun that gives no indication of where the person firing it is.
you might wanna look up the idea of game balance first though, save yourself getting yelled at. or not. the power is yours!

Silenced spec ops m4 would be awesome. Only because I play with it. But having the option of it would be nice too.

I don't think silenced weapons make much of a difference in the game. Chances are 1) The scream of a dieing enemy gives the attacker away 2)You're too far away for it to matter whether your shots are heard/silenced or not

If you want to know where the shot came from use your brain and thinka bout the angle.

And the sound output being lowered would not keep the person from knowing where you are. Just help. I mean you don't say that when a sniper shoots you way out of hearing range.

yes yes. very good. its not like anybody actually has a kick ass surround sound speaker set up and uses sound and muzzle flashes to spot enemies anyway.

I have a nice pair of headphones that allow me to get a good idea on where the shot game from.
