I bought the DVD version and played it for about 1 month and quit. During this first month I didn't have a single issue, and I played nearly every day. I later re-installed my PC and re-installed BF2 again. It works for 1 day or so and then starts crashing to the desktop just after the splash screen. I have uninstalled, checkdisk, defrag, re-install to a different folder, and problem remains. I didn't install anything else except patch 1.0->1.2. (no maps or mods or anything)
The DVD itself is absolutely flawless and I have 2 DVD drives, same results with both.
I have also tried killing every non-essential process.
Anyone else see this issue?
Arg. I play about 4 other games that all need the DVD and no issues with those games.
