My computer meets the target requirements but when i click on the icon, the battlefield 2 picture will come up then the screen will go back but then it goes back to the desktop...what should i do?

What kind of processor is it? XP? Pentium? et.al.

How much memory do you have? 512? 1024? 2048? Speed? (2700, 3200, 4000?)

What operating system are you using?

What videocard/gpu do you use? EVga 6600? Saphire X800? et.al.

Which soundcard are you using? Onboard? Audigy2ZS?

What else do you know? System temps? What software are you using in the system tray? Are you using a firewall? Norton Antivirus? Are you a girl or a guy? If you're a girl, are you 18? Are you hot? JK.

You mean 256 MB of ram? Won't work. I run 512MB of Ram and I have to run it on low settings.

Yep more RAM needed, also is that 82865G Graphics ControllerDisplay an "on board" Vid unit? not a vid card?

That is the Intel Extreme graphics chip he has, that videochipset is not supported.
you will not be able to play the game unless you upgrade to an AGP or PCIe graphics board with pixel shader 1.4 or greater.

Yes, you need to double your RAm to get to the minimum requirements and you need a AGP or PCI-e video card, not the onboard video settings.
