I've already started to lose interest. I've been going back and playing some of the classics that I like to play: Max Payne 1 & 2, final Fantasy 1/2/3/7/9/10, Jedi Knight 2, civilization 3, Alpha Centari, etc. BF2 is a good game, but I'm waiting for the next patch to come out. Until then I'll keep playing all the other games, I still have tons of hours left on the FF series, and havent even started on some other games I want to play.

Im a female player, and love the game to bits....even with bugs i cant stop playing it.
Comming up on my next unlock (Corporal) still undecided as to which kits unlock i want.
Think im going to stop playing until the v1.03 patch is released. Dont wish to get my unlock until game play changes a little, due to tking and immature players. But i also have no interest in the SF addon.

Good to see another female player. We currently have 3 female players in our clan. One of them is my Mrs and if you think chicks have no skill then you haven't got your ass kicked by my Mrs yet. Myself hard to say how long i will play. I haven't played for 3 weeks now getting bored of it, until I played a little last night. For me the enjoyment is in good team work. I'm also waiting for patch 1.03 to see what its like and also waiting to check out the many mods. I won't be paying EA another cent until they stop releasing beta products so that means I won't be buying the SF expansion!

except, not, not, not. I tried to play DOD:S today and kept expecting my alt fire to bring up iron sights on all the weapons, even the few that do are too slow, going prone takes forever too, maps are cramped and tunnel like. I only wasted $10 on it because I had the ATI coupon for free HL2, otherwise I'd be ****ed off if I had spent $24 for what really should be a free mod.

I'll stick with BF2, flaws and all thanks.

Well i'm not too exited about the vanilla BF2 anymore but i'm very eager towards the upcoming mods like FH2, BF:A, PoE and others.

I'll play Bf2 until I get bored. I've had the game for about a month now and I'm getting there (I needed a break from EQ2. BF2 was compelling enough to interest me). Here's why.

I think BF2 is a great game. It's an amalgam of all the current technology in fps's with a little innovation mixed in in the game mechanics. This game reminds me of a totally different game, a flight sim, called Falcon 3.0

The makers of falcon 3.0 had this vision to create a battlefield that was fully interactable. They'd sell invidividual versions of their different simulations, falcon 3.0, Mig-29 Fulcrum, A-10 Warthog. The planned also to make simulations of tanks and apcs and such. All were supposed to have the capability to buy into the a battlefield vision. A friend could fly in a plane another could be in a tank, another flying helicopter, all interacting with one another in the same battlefield. It was all very ambitious and unfortunately it didn't pan out.

BF2 even though it might be a dumbed down version of this battlefield is very much fulfilling this vision. I would've liked the planes and vehicles to be more simulation like, but I think maybe that might not be possible in a single package (too much to ask).

As much as I like this game though I will say that at the end of the day it's just another FPS. Playing the same maps over and over, having only a single mode of play (conquest....where's the co-op mode or singpleplayer?), and being repetitive. The "character development" thing is a joke really. Just flash with little to no utility. This game could be so much more than it is, but you know there isn't anything like it yet, cept ut2004. Kudos to the developers for putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

I give my interest in this game 4 months before I get tired of counting points and spending countless my time trying to get them.

I am going to play the game till I get bored of it.
And when this will be is something I don't know ether, and probably like I had with BF1942 , I play the game for a ling time,then stop playing it for like 6months or so playing something else (going back to counter strike for a while) and then again start playing it for a long time, same story with every multiplayer game I liked

Same goes for me......I've gone through my initial spurt of playing a bunch (as much as I could) and now I enjoy just sitting down for an hour or 2 every couple of days...I can still walk away happy.

i love this game, im never going to get bored of it, because play it everyday. and now with the patch coming out im going to play even more.
