im new(very) to bf2 and was wondering if someone could point me to a basics guide regarding starting up an managing a bf2 server...

the instructions that came with the game are pathetic.......

i dont know anything about changing maps, passwords etc...

help!?

do u at least know how to play the game... cuz if u dont... learn that first since u say ur new (VERY) to bf2...

Hey man!

I really can't stand the responses people give sometimes! Try and be helpful at least people, and not just, "Go and play first cause.. I'm cool!"

I currently have a standalone server going and a separate gaming machine running off of the same connection and router. Setting up a server was a new thing for me, but I have since been able to get it working great and I usually have games going every night. They are unranked games, of course, but its still a good time.

Are you planning on setting up a standalone server or are you just wanting to play muliplayer games here and there? Are you familiar with network settings and do you have a decent internet connection?
