    saving personal settings w/ reinstall

i messed-up i added 2 mods one to increase single player bots to 64 and one to increase single player maps to size 64. i also was looking at or rathers messing w/the editor, but i did not nowingly change anything; now i am not able to play online games unless i fix the game ... and i can't because i don't know what i did !!!, i KNOW...ALWAYS SAVE YOUR OLD FILES  ...
my question is where in BF2 are my personal settings for the game (keyboard,mouse,graphics...) so i can reinstall the game and not have to spend hours trying to figure that stuff out again, just for attempting to improve SPBF2 or attempting to figure out the editor (i want to make stuff to )
please help me i'm totaly bumbed out   :hmm:    .
p.s. will i lose my metals and stuff?

It is located in your My Documents folder. When you uninstall the game it will ask if you want to keep the Profiles folder. Good idea to make a backup of it first, just in case.

You won't lose your stats or medals. The default path for your setting that you want to make a copy of is:

      C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxx\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles

Go ahead and save the whole Profiles folder.
