Im running a bf2 dedicated server with windows 2003 Server Standard installed. I have no firewalls installed and my Windows Firewall is disabled. I i have a straigh t connection to the internet. My problem is that I'm trying to run a game server and I cant see it from any game browser. i have no problem launching the game with no errors. Im using version 1.2.
(2484). Ive had the server up for almost 24 hours and still nothing. I am able to join it via IP address only. I downloaded Gamespy, ASE and none of them list it. I do a search for the game server and it doesn't come up. I ran Quake 3 , and half Life 2, counter strike servers on the same box with no problems. I've been hosting game servers for almost 10 years and this is the first time that I've been unsuccessul with this one game. Im starting to think that there is no way around this. It maybe that the dedicated server file has bugs. Im not sure. EA seems to not know anything about this. They redirected me to thier support website. I won't waste my time with them anymore. If anyone can be some assistance I would really appreciate it. Thanks Server Info below.
