Turn off a mod?

This may be a bit of a stupid question, but how do you turn off a mod? It seems like it just stays on, even after I quit and restart. Thanks.

You try deleting it from your mod folder?

I can, but I don't really want to lose it. Oh well, I do what I must

Edit: Tried that, but now it's just ****ed because it's trying to load something that isn't there. Looks like a reinstall situation

go to community and select the original bf2 option
