    CTD (close to desktop) and PB not working propperly.

    I know that there are alot of issues with the game, and that these are probably all to do with my pc, not the game.

    Its so annoying when the game just closes, no erroes, nothing, it just stops and i go back to desktop, i dont know how to stop it, i have tried all the suggestions i could find, and those by Great White Shark did help, but did not make the problem dissapear. I have re-installed tha game, reinstalled the patch, teird to update PB, but this is not working, and i have contacted PB about this.

    Can anyone suggest anything?

    I can hardly play this brilliant and addicting game anymore.

      I have the same problem. It seems to freeze for a split second before it ctds. What video and sound card are you running?

          Have you got any another application controlling your vid settings like cat controller where you may have not set the program to run the "In game application vid settings"?

          Or go into game but before connecting to a server drop all your in game options for vid settings "all" to lowest and connect to a game see if you get then CTD. if not then you know your settings were to high and you can work upwards from there upping your settings till they become unstable again.

              In general, crashing to desktop can be solved by reinstalling the motherboard chipset dirvers followed by clean installations of the video and sound drivers.

              Others have had success lowering Audio Accelleration on their PC while others have found success by changing the in-game audio settings from Hardware to Software and visa-versa.

                  I am using a ATI 9550 256MB.

                  Thanks guys, ill try some of these and post back if they work so that others will be able to try and sole the same problem.
