Sorry for the bad spelling...
It annoys me when you are punished when clearly you do not deserve it. I never teamkill (or at least intentionally) and when I do I say sorry, or more often than not, say I am an idiot for being so careless...)
Occasionally I accept that I deserve being punished. However, I propose that some etiquette (SP) be applied before punishing players while on ranked servers.
Before I punish teamkillers (most of the time I don't; since after all you are at war and these things happen - like coming around a corner and a friendly jeep flys past and hits you or while in the thick of a fight you get shrapnel from a grenade - dont punish for that) There is obviously grey areas between punish or non punishable offenses, but when someone who genuinely intends to play a game fairly to do good by his team gets kicked from a server for excessive teamkilling, I dont think that you have been punished fairly.
Dont punish when you are hit by artillery and you have had fair warnings.
I always try to remember people's nicks when i get teamkilled for the first time, so that if it happens again and again i know, but unless I am sure they intended to kill me, or they did something completely idiotic, i dont punish...
One time, when I noticed a recurring teamkiller, I walked up to him in game and we stood there looking at each other for a few seconds, no shots were made, I jumped a few times to let him know I acknowledge he is doing something abnormal, i turn to leave and i get shot by him, I punish him and write message to everyone in the game that he is a blatant teamkiller, wrote his nick out in full and recommended that he be kicked. nothing happened to him. I never even kill teamkillers like that, because it will only go against your stats.
I hate teamkillers, and I am sorry when I do it by accident, I apologize and sometimes deserve being punished, but i hate it when people punish every teamkiller everytime without thinking that just maybe, perhaps they were stupid evough to drive over friendly mines or something like that.
What does everyone else think about it?
This is my first post, so i expect to be yelled at for something I have said, so go ahead :)
