Will I get banned if......

if I go to my file & change one of my multiplayer unlocks to something else? I got the G36c, & I don't really play Spec Ops & i gotta say, i dont like it. Id really like the PKM or G3. So if i changed it, would i get banned? heres a similar question i found somewhere else on the forums but they couldnt get an answer.

ok I understand but could i change a 1 to a 0 on the .con files if i already choosen that weapon and don't want it.



If u don't understand what i am saying i mean like i chose the PKM as my first unlock. I really don't like it. I think the G3 would be better. Would i get banned on multiplayer if i changed support.con to a 0 and assalt.con to a 1 would i be in trouble?

some guy on our squad convinced me it wus the best unlock so i played it for a while......got bored with it, havent used it for like 2 weeks. But there is a way to do this look at first post ^ dunno if i get banned though is my question, lets stay on topic :)

try it if you like, make a new account and change all the numbers to 1. tell us what happens.

You cannot change your unlock since the information is stored on EA stat server as well as your own system, interfering with the file will probably bring about undesirable effects later on so I would do the wise thing and leave it alone.
Just work towards the next rank and unlock a gun more suited to your playing style.

I read somewhere it's a cd key ban for a week for messing around with the unlocks, alright for sinbgle player but you have to change it back before going online.

Well im at Corpral (M95 & G36) & i want the PKM & G3. The only thing is once i get to sergeant ill never get another unlock. So would it be quicker to just make a new account & go PKM,G3,M95 or would it be faster to just keep going where im at?

i wouldn't swap the g36c for the g3 anyway. I unlocked the G3 for my first unlock i used it like twice and never again, partly because i don't go ass assault much but mostly because if i do go as assault i choose the m16 because its a much better gun.

The PKM however is just simply amazing, i got that for my second unlock :)

im not asking what gun to get, ive tested em all & i know what im going to get. But im going to stick with my first account because in not this patch but the next one, everyone will automaticly increase 1 rank because EA/DICE said the ranks after CPL were too far apart & they will be shortening(EX: instead of 25,000 to 50,000 it might be 25,000 to 40,000 for next rank). Thats kew

You are definitely reading too far into that. Even if they lower the corporal rank (2nd unlock) to 5250 (half the points it originally was) no-one who's just got the 1st unlock will actually go up an unlock level.

I think theres a lot of people gonna be pi**ed when they find out they haven't gone up a level when the patch comes out.....

heres their EXACT words (relize this for a a LATER patch, not the upcoming one)

* A new assessment in the ranks and medals which must ensure that starting players will increase more rapidly in rank and unlocked weapon to get. All players probably minimum one rank will increase.

OK then I'll let you wait for that patch.
I'm still waiting to see if half the things they announced would be in THIS patch actually made it in. (EA not some idiot running rumours)

I'm not gonna waste my time thinking about what might make it into the next patch.
At least let me celebrate christmas first eh?

I'm only 8217 points away from my next unlock (the G3) and thats the only unlock I want. I'll easily have that unlock by the time they release the next patch. (maybe even before they release this patch as well)
