If there's such a thing as karma...

...I must have been a mass murder in my last life. A bit more or less than a month ago I got a new computer, a top of the line gaming PC. I quickly installed BF2 on it. The first time, it went smoothly, and then sometime later I downloaded a lot of custom maps including the totalBF2. Awhile after that I started experiencing graphics bugs in the game (not just in the maps I downloaded). So, I reinstalled it, except this time, I only downloaded the totalBF2 map pack as it said those maps had been tested. After a while, I started experiencing graphics problems again too. So I reinstalled AGAIN, this time, not downloading any custom maps. Things were going fine up until tonight, when I experienced more graphics bugs. After the game in which I was experiencing the bugs, BF2 crashed and this is what my desktop looked like:

What the heck could be going on!?

EDIT: And if forgot to add my dad has his own BF2 account, and, of course, he has never gotten any of these problems.

Do you overclock your graphics card? That might explain it. Otherwise, check to the make sure your graphics card is completely secure. Might want to check your GPU temp if you can, too.

Thanks for the advice but look at the "EDIT:" part (you probably posted before I put that). He plays on the same graphics settings I do.

I see... Does he just have a sperate BF2 account, or a seperate Windows account, too? Have you already tried creating another account and trying it out? Perhaps it's become corrupted some how.

Hmmm...are you sure? I mean, I've reinstalled twice. Would this give me his stats or anything?

And neatdog, yes, he has a seperate account and is currently playing on a seperate windows account. And I really would rather not create another account considering how close I am to becoming a Sargeant right now.

You don't have to delete your old one, just create a new one to test it out a little. If that doesn't fix it, try using his windows account with your BF2 account for a while, and see if it happens again. If it doesn't happen then, your windows account may be broken.

No no no...you will NEVER lose your stats and your BF2 account has NOTHING to do with your problems.

It's just odd that you are using the SAME MACHINE and you're having problems that another user on the same machine is not.

So...just log in using your Dad's Windows account and try playing BF2 with YOUR BF2 account and see what happens.
