The M95 is just as inaccurate as the standard MEC and Chinese rifles. But unlike the the standard MEC and Chinese rifles you can't rapid fire with it.

In conclusion:
M24 for life.

The M24 and M95 are just different modeled weapons which deal the same damage and everything. I think the M95 just gives you more confedence cause it just looks and feels more powerful, when really, its pretty much the same weapon.

However, semi-auto would be very nice on it...

If you don't understand the difference between the guns, DON'T guess. The M95 is less accurate than the M24.


And someone else, said something about fuel tanks? What's this nonsense?

personally i use to love the m95 with the bullet penetrating glass and i was use to the bullet drop and bullet travel..then i went back to the m24 and i found it MUCH more accurate and they both do the "same" damage meaning 2 hits to body and 1 hit to head..but every now and then i go back to the m95 for airbase pilot hunting

Depends on the map and the team I'm playing on. If I'm US I'll probably take the M24, but not always. Any other team and I use the M95 exclusively. But the cross hairs are too thick, and long distance it is guess work because you can't often see your target behind the cross hairs. If they have tags turned on and up over 300 they you can use the player tag to center on the target on LD shots. It's good on Karkand and Mashtuur, and I've shot a couple pilots out of helos on luck shots. I've also killed support personal in the BH. Never got a BH pilot though. It's a fun upgrade but definately does not own like you'd think it should. But they had to do that to keep the game balanced.

No comments re: the m95, but I will say that I enjoy killing M95 users with my M4. Or my G36C. Or my M16A2. Or my AK-101. Or my AKS-74U. Or my pistol.

Actually, the other day I killed one by hitting him in the head with a grenade. He died when my grenade bounced off of a wall and physically tagged him in the face - then the explosion went off on his corpse.

I laughed for a while.

no I said fuel-tanks ... not a tanks fuel-tank ... im talking about the barrels and "huge" white fuel-tanks. I love when people decide to hide behind/next to those :laugh:

i never use the m24, its good, but once you play sniper a good nuff, the m95 is almost unbeatable

ignores body armor, whereas m24 will only do 60-40 damage to assault/AT class(classes with armor) plsu, it goes through glass....ive stolen countless jets with this procedure


1. Sit at base
2. Wait for enemy to get into his jet
3. Shoot him in the Face
4. Drop 2 claymores, nab yourself a jet

makes it easier for you in the air

ive gotten 30-0 score countless times with the jet like this on Daqing Oilfields

well ... concerning "body shots" both - the M24 and the M95 - are practicly equal. To a person w/o body armor both deal 95%.
To a person with body armor the M24 deals 65% dmg and the M95 deals 95% damage. So either way you need 2 body shots to kill someone.
The "bad" thing about the M95 is the fact that its sound is very distincive. once you hear a M95 firing somewhere near you, you basicly know where the sniper is (unless you are deaf or dead). The other odd thing about the M95 is its "strange" bullet drop - DO NOT ARGUE WITH THAT! READ THE OTHER TOPICS! WE PROVED IT! - which sometimes even makes it neccessary to aim below someones head to cap him.
When it comes to sniping in "close range" situations (eg Strike at Karkand) where the enemy mostlikely will see you and starts shooting Id choose the M24 anytime. Simply because of the "no-so-freaky" aiming. When you are playing MEC/CN or try to do some evil stuff (caping pilots/hmmvw drivers/ect) then the M95 will be you choice for sure.

Hint: When shooting a hmmvw gunner, dont try to deal a headshot when you are not above the vehicle - just go for the windows and deal two body shots. Its easier AND it leaves some neat bulletholes in the window

I was using the M95 on dalian plant and an enemy tried to roadkill me with one of those little buggies (not sure of the correct name of buggy lol) anyway I jumped out of the way at the last sec, flipped around and shot it from behind hoping to hit anything.To my surprise it exploded and i got credit for it.Not sure if it was damaged before I shot him.
