Oh i loved the first COD. I'm definately trying this demo out :) Any information about the game engine(where it's based), requirements and how well will it run on a R9800pro?

you can run it well on lower systems i've heard, since the min requirments is a 9200 and a geforce 4 and over...

Eh, no. If it did, very few of the computers at the time would have had much chance running it at any decent speed, and you would have heard about it. I think you've got your tech mixed up with something else that CoD used.

For those with the demo and who have been following the development of this game, can you guys comment on whether the gameplay (campaign) is heavily scripted like in the original and expansion? Also, has the scale of the map been increased? If so, are there more vehicles to play with?

no drivable vehicles in the demo, its only one mission on 2nd hardest difficulty took me about 15-20 i think. alot longer on the hardest. neverbothered to tried it on the lower levels.

those uniforms though, oh my. :laugh:

The graphics are damn good on high, but I can't play it worth sh*t with my P4 (2.66GHz) and 9800Pro. Well....then again I was playing it on 1280x1024. But it still looks great with the detail down.

I heard people saying it was pretty easy so I played on the hardest difficulty...imho it was still pretty easy.

Demo seems pretty much the same as COD1. The same kind of "mayhem" scripting as before to make the game feel "intense". Once you realise the game is like this all the time, and although theres 4 mounted mgs shooting at you they cant kill you very easily, the intensity starts to become boredom. I'm sure it will be worth playing through once but its nothing spectacular.

It also starts to run pretty poorly with all settings turned up. Maybe they are asking to much of the ailing Quake 3 engine?
