stupid claymore

i seriously don't know how claymore work...sometimes i walk over it and it wont blow up..other times..itll blow up and ill be like 2 feet from it...well forget that...one time i was with a few freidnly soldiers and we had just captured the crane flag in oman and i ran towards the crane and stopping just in time to see a claymore. the other guys had followed me and im like...dont move..theres a claymore...and i was freaking out hoping that i wouldnt set it off with any sudden movemts...then this guy runs into me and pushes me into the claymore..and u see one calymore kill like 5 ppl...i bet that sniper who laid it was very happy

Claymores work in about a 180 degree Radious. It detects whichever way you are facing when you lay it. So you can lay it and back off safely. And you can approach is safely from behind. It has a slight curve on it. I think the inwards curve is the frount that detects. But yes I agree the range on claymores seems really screwed up sometimes.

its not cheating it just happend to me once and im like "SWEET!" anyway it effects me too cause my squadmates cant see it. anyway everyone has there own tricks.

God, I hate claymore! I was in karkand heading for the house just behind the first CP and a sniper runs uo the stairs and throgs one behind him. Anyway, the stupid thing starts ROLLING down the stairs so I run. I come bakc to see if it setup and barley sneak around the corner and get the **** blown out of me and I was still like 2 feet from it. stupid claymores.

in BF2 you can be 10 feet from it and blow up. It's called proximity. You don't have to stand on it (like driving over mines) to blow it up.
