    the night before Oman

I think it would be a good idea for either EA to include this level in SF, or to make this map once Special forces comes out. The idea behind it would be that the map took place during the night the USMCEU landed on the beach of Oman and captured the initial 3/4 outposts the USMC has at the beggining of the Gulf of Oman map with 32/64 players. What do you all think?

It would be cool and the MEC making the preperations and what would be best is no jets since they are getting ready!

yep wonder when a bf2 night map will come out not just SF expansion. Id like to see a map that has several light versions in one. Dawn, morning, afternoon, dusk night.

they should have used JO's technique, CTOD (continuous time of day)

Yea, COTD was great. MP5 by night, heavy guns by day. Was a blast. I beta tested JO

Also, notice how most of those bases look like military outposts for defending the shore, so the USMC couldn't have just moved into those areas. There would have had to be a raid beforehand most likley.

real life assault: tomahawk missles blow up anything that can shoot down jets and helicopters, which prompltly move in and destroy everything else. Then infantry moves in.

a night version of the map could easily be made into that Nights mod, just have the MEC start off with all bases.

It would suck for SF though, as that map is an vehicle fest. take away the vehicles and you have: Big wide open areas + retardedly innacurate weapons = not good gameplay. except for snipers.

Fig, EA made the map with the US owning 3 bases for a reason, otherwise it would be ridiculously unbalanced. That's why you'd need to change it to the MEC having 3 or 4, neither of which were main bases as is usually the case with an assualt map.
