wont let me play online

every time i try and get on a online map it says i have a modified game and i need to load the offical ea version. i updated 1.02 and updated punkbuster. EA said to uninstall it and reinstall it. did that and still didnt work

You will probably have to do a manual uninstall.

Make SURE you delete your empty BF2 directory.

Did you receive ANY problems or errors while installing to v1.02?
Did you install BF2 to a directory other than the default?
Are you using a *****/DVD cracked .exe?
Are you using any other *****/DVD solution?

The 'pirate' comment comes from the fact that people with this problem are sometimes those who have pirated copies or who use ***** cracks. When using such things, files get written or changed that REMAIN behind after an uninstall. v1.02 does not like these illegal files and complains

i did the manual uninstal registry and everything i fallowed the drections that EA gave me for that. not using any no cd cracks, and never got any errors instaling 1.02.
