    Is there anyway i can increase the amount of RAM BF2 uses?

      like going into the system files to make it so that BF2 uses more RAM, thus is faster (maybe?) i don't no too much about comps

        Battlefield 2 will use up whatever free physical emmory that is avaliable and allocate any extra resources to the system pagefile.
        Manually allocating RAM will only be detrimental to the OS IMO.

            Well, I might be able to suggest something..I don't know if it actually WORKS for Windows XP but:

            Start->Run-> type in 'msconfig'->Enter

            Select the 'System.ini' tab

            Select [386enh]

            Click the 'New' button on the right

            Type in 'ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1' (without quotes) in the box

            Hit 'Ok'

            Close all windows and reboot.

            This supposedly encourages Windows to use up your RAM before resorting to using the swap file.

            If you have a small amount of RAM (512 MB) this probably won't help you at all.
